Although the 1991 Ermitage Cuvee de l'Oree should turn out to be compelling, the bouquet has shut down. The wine is full-bodied and stunningly rich, with a tight but promising nose of honey, peach blossom, acacia flower, and mineral scents. Unctuously textured, thick, rich, chewy flavors are buttressed by high acidity. The finish lasts for up to a minute. Anticipated maturity: 2000-2025. Last tasted 6/96.
