The 1999 Barolo Vigna Cappella di Santo Stefano, is dark and fresh in tonality, and its plum, raisin, and raspberry aromas, though amply laced with vanilla, are in good balance with the oak. Supple, concentrated, and balanced, its fine density and velvet texture on the close are the signs of superior fruit. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2020. Importer: Robert Chadderdon, New York, NY; tel.
