A 2005 Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese – the first of three Auslesen from this site, and A.P. #25 – offers grapefruit, pineapple, and baked apple on the nose, is dense and mouthfilling with impressive wet stone and salt mineral impressions, and extends to an elegant finish that belies the wine’s formidable extract. Given its quality today and the Richter track record, this is yet another candidate for the cellar.
