The 2014 Morey-Saint-Denis les Très Girard, which will include 25% new oak in the final blend, has a very attractive floral bouquet with blackcurrant pastilles and light violet scents. The oak here is discrete. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, ripe tannin. There is a pleasing salinity here, but it is the backbone, the tannic framework that really works here, with those marn soils coming through nicely. This is recommended.
