The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon spent time in seasoned French oak. A glass-coating opaque purple color, it displays an aromatic array of pain grille, pencil lead, violets, black currant, and blackberry. Full-bodied, plush, and succulent, this impeccably balanced Cabernet has enough fine-grained tannin to support another 4-6 years of cellaring. Enjoy this pleasure-bent effort from 2014 to 2026. Greenock Creek’s latest collection is a bit more mixed than usual due to the more challenging nature of the vintages from which these wine were produced. There is one bit of sad news; their Creek Block parcel is no longer commercially viable due to the age of the vines and will no longer be produced.Importer: Dan Philips, The Grateful Palate, Oxnard, CA; tel.
