Exuberant, layered, and full-throttled is the 2002 Shiraz. Produced from 20-year-old vines cropped at 1.8 tons of fruit per acre, it exhibits a dense purple color in addition to a big, peppery, black currant and berry-scented nose with notions of white flowers and licorice in the background. Deep and chewy, with low acidity and medium to full body, this impressive 2002 will drink well for a decade.
