The 2004 Shiraz contains 2% Viognier co-fermented and aged in American oak, 30% new. It reveals a fragrant perfume of violets, mocha, bacon, smoked meat and blueberry given a lift by the dollop of Viognier. On the palate it shows off an elegant personality with plenty of spice and incipient complexity. Drink this harmonious effort through 2016.
