Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting, Marc Colin's 2014 St Aubin 1er Cru en Remilly has a very composed bouquet, the oak neatly integrated with fine cold stone/slate-like scents percolating through with time. The palate is well defined with a fine bead of acidity, concentrated and generous with touches of tangerine and ginger toward the finish. It is not the most subtle Saint-Aubin on the block, but there is a lot of drinking pleasure to be had; plus, I observed improvement in the glass as it gained more mineralité and dispensed with its more exotic moment.
