The 2006 Pinot Noir Red Hills Estate was aged for 9 months in 66% new French oak after which it was racked to older barrels for another 6 months. It is a bit muted aromatically but bright red fruits, roses, and mineral emerge. This is followed by a dense, layered, silky wine albeit with some gritty tannin in the finish.
Archery Summit is composed of 120 acres, all estate, and produces 15,000 cases annually. The Premier Cuvee bottling is typically 50-60% of the winery’s total production.
