Autard's 1990 Chateauneuf du Pape (standard cuvee) is an excellent bottle of wine. With a black/ruby/purple color and an intense nose of black-cherries and smoke, it is a serious wine, packed with flavor, a considerable amount of soft tannin, and a spicy, earthy fruitiness.
