This estate produced some rock-solid 2011s. First, the straight 2011 Chateauneuf du Pape is loaded with a sweet core of raspberry and black raspberry fruit that’s balanced by more toast, spice and cedar notes. Medium-bodied on the palate, with sweet tannin and solid purity, the oak dominates slightly, yet this holds everything together beautifully and is a joy to drink. Enjoy bottles over the coming 7-8 years. Drink now-2021. These modern-styled efforts are made by Jean-Paul Autard, and the estate covers roughly 60 acres in Chateauneuf du Pape.
