The 2014 Chateauneuf du Pape is made from 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre that was raised in 30% new barrels, with the balance in very old oak. Charming, pretty, polished and elegant, it makes the most of the vintage and has outstanding notes of sweet black raspberries, toasted bread, licorice, spice and hints of barrique. It’s ready to go, but should keep through 2024.
