The 2015 Chassagne Montrachet, which comes from 15 different parcels and matured in 20% new oak, offers an attractive, patisserie-tinged bouquet with hints of nutmeg and walnut coming through, rendering it almost Meursault-like in style. The palate is fresh on the entry with a keen line of acidity, which is necessary to counterbalance the fatness on the mid-palate. Quite rich, a little creamy in style, but I can see the wide appeal that this will have.
