The 1999 Le Stanze is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The dense ruby/purple color is accompanied by a monolithic offering with plenty of depth, ripeness, and intensity on the palate. Slightly disjointed, it needs to develop more character. Nevertheless, there is a lot to like, and after 2-3 years of cellaring, it should be a fine effort. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2014.
