The 2007 Le Stanze del Poliziano is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot that spent approximately 16 months in French oak prior to being bottled. This positively sparkles on the palate with layers of mineral infused dark fruit. Menthol, spices, leather and licorice swirl around in the glass, adding further shades of nuance and complexity, and leading to a firm, wonderfully alive finish. Le Stanze is a fabulous wine to enjoy over the next few years. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2019.
