The 2009 Barolo Pressenda is a beautiful wine with dark fruit tones that are delicately contrasted against spice, cola, tar and licorice. Marziano Abbona is mostly known for its Dolcetto, but the estate shows a deft hand with Nebbiolo as well. This wine is a strong demonstration of that. Tasted seven years after the harvest, the wine is elegant and evolved with pretty tertiary aromas on display.
