The 2004 Los Zorros Vendimia Seleccionada is 100% Tempranillo from a region located between Toro and the Portuguese border. It was barrel-fermented and aged for 18 months in French oak. Purple-colored, it delivers a bouquet of cedar, spice box, currants, and plum. This leads to a structured wine which is a bit lean on the mid-palate. It has attractive flavors, decent grip, and a moderate finish. It will evolve for 1-2 years and may well fill out in which case my score will appear to be conservative.Importer: Eric Solomon, European Cellars, Charlotte, NC; tel. (704) 358-1565
