Pale to medium ruby colored, the 2009 Martinborough Estate Pinot Noir presents notes of ripe cranberries and red currants over aromas of lavender and cinnamon stick. Medium bodied with a low level of fine-grained tannins, it has crisp acidity and a long earthy finish. Drinking well now, it should remain good through 2014.
