The 2008 Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso is fabulous. Layers of fruit build in the glass with tons of intensity and depth. Sweet dark cherries, flowers, new leather and spices are some of the nuances that inform the voluptuous finish. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2018. Pra does so many things well its hard to know where to start. All five wines I tasted were terrific. I can't think of too many wineries in Veneto that excel to this degree with both whites and reds.
