Along the same lines, yet with additional complexity, the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Walla Walla gives up plenty of plum, blackberry, underbrush and wild herbs in a medium to full-bodied, rich and beautifully textured, palate. It picks up a touch of dry tannin on the finish, so it’s not something to hide away in the cellar. Nevertheless, give it a year or two and plan on drinking over the following 5 to 7 years.
This was another fine set of releases from proprietors Megan and Marty Clubb. One of the original estates in Walla Walla, their entire lineup is solid, and in most cases, represents value.
