The 1999 Brunello di Montalcino Poggio Banale is ripe, sweet, and smoky in aromatic character. The concentrated raspberry fruit flavors, the definition and complexity of its multi-layered palate, and the density and precision of its sweet and focused finish are an impeccable example of Montalcino at its best. Drink: 2005-2020. Wines produced by estates belonging to financial institutions rarely have a good reputation in Italy.
