Domaine de la Mordoree's 1995 Chateauneuf du Pape is one of the finest wines of this top flight vintage (the best since 1989 and 1990). Made from 70% old vine Grenache, 10% Mourvedre, 10% Syrah, 5% Vaccarese, and 5% Cinsault, this is a large-scaled, rich, full-bodied wine that needs another 2-3 years of cellaring. It reveals a dense purple color, and a tight but promising nose of herbes de Provence, kirsch, smoke, and pepper. Full-bodied, concentrated, and moderately tannic, this wine should be at its best between 2001-2012.Importer: Kysela Pere et Fils, Winchester, VA; tel (540) 888-7939
