The 2003 Barolo Gramolere reveals lovely balance in its tobacco, spices, earthiness and stewed prunes. Made in a sweet, ethereal style, this delicate Barolo offers outstanding length in a medium-bodied style. It is a very well-balanced wine, especially considering the vintage. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2019.
Importer: Giovanni Manzone continues to produce some of the most unique Barolos in the zone. Although his hometown of Monforte is best known for structured wines, Manzone’s vineyards are among the highest in the region, and as a result his wines show unusually delicate, often ethereal personalities.
