The Renato Corino 2016 Barolo Rocche dell'Annunziata shows a soft and slow approach with a silky textural fiber that glides seamlessly over the palate. That effortless lightless is the defining characteristic of this pretty La Morra Barolo made with fruit from 50-year-old vines. Red and blue fruits can be found at the core, and there is pretty spice and tar as well. This wine is accessible even at this early stage, suggesting a drinking window of 10-15 years. A mere 3,500 bottles were made.

Ripe cherry and plum fruit is matched to licorice, sweet spice and toasty oak notes in this smooth red, whose tannins are firm and refined, imparting balance.
