The straightforward 1994 Barolo reveals scents of earth, tea, black cherries, leather, and spice. The wine is medium-bodied, elegant, and soft. It should be drunk over the next 3-4 years.
This winery has been producing better wines, particularly since its acquisition by Tuscany's Antinori family. While the wines have become more fruit-driven, they have not lost any of their varietal or terroir characteristics.
