The estate’s 2001 Barolo is a delicate, medium-bodied effort, with a floral, spiced nose, dark red fruit and mineral flavors, and a slightly austere personality. Made from a blend of fruit sourced from Monforte, Serralunga, and Castiglione Falletto, it will benefit from a year or two in the bottle and drink well to age 15. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2016.
