This 20-acre estate, run with considerable precision by Gerard Boudot, is among the top dozen or so producers of white Burgundy. 1994 is a very good vintage for white Burgundy, as evidenced by the following wines. The 1994 Chassagne-Montrachet offers a light straw/golden color, attractive butterscotch and ripe fruit in the nose, a luscious, medium to full-bodied texture, fine depth, and excellent purity. It is a very good village wine. It should be drunk over the next 2-4 years.
