Fashioned from the Encegnieres vineyard (which abuts the southwestern border of Batard-Montrachet), the toasted apple-scented 2003 Chassagne-Montrachet (white) is fat, generous, and medium-bodied. White fruit compote-like flavors are found in its lush, softly-textured personality. It should be consumed over the next 3-4 years.
