The 2021 Weisser Burgunder trocken comes from top sites in Westhofen and is partly based on old vines. Aged in larger and smaller oak casks, the 2021 shows a clear, intense and elegant, rather coolish but precise bouquet of ripe fruits, fine lees and delicate notes of finely crushed (lime) stones. Full-bodied, fresh and immediately saline on the palate, this is an impressive, savory and persistent estate Pinot Blanc with character, grip and tension. It's an excellent wine to have with food. 12% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted at the domaine in August 2022.
