From calcareous soils that are less rich than those for Pinot Gris and aged in large oak vats, the 2022 Weisser Burgunder trocken shows a pure, fresh and elegant, remarkably fine bouquet of white fruits and some iodine notes. Fresh and vivacious on the palate, this is a medium-bodied, savory and grippy Pinot Blanc with stunning classy acidity and healthy phenolic grip on the finish. There are delicate bitters here as well, which make this still-young wine a gastronomic one. 12.5% stated alcohol. Screw cap. Tasted at the domaine in July 2023.
