The 2000 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is a definite success for the vintage, a dark garnet, warm and fragrant on the nose with smoky berry fruit, tar and vanilla. Medium-bodied, it is long and sustained in flavor with support from tannin, but in a context of balance and finesse. Fine grained and elegant, it will be at its best between 2005 and 2010.
