The 1999 Pinot Noir came partly from Seven Springs Vineyard. It has retained an attractive nose of balsam, loganberry jam, rusted iron piping and earthy aromas with ample freshness. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet aniseed-tinged entry, crisp acidity, fully mature with a slightly diffuse, ferrous finish that is beginning to dry out, which is no slur given it is 17-years-old. It might be beginning to decay, but I suspect it will be at a gradual pace; this is respectable for a 17-year-old Oregon Pinot Noir.
