Scents of sweet currants, figs, crushed rocks, and herbs appear in De Fieuzal’s light to moderately intense aromatics. The wine possesses decent acidity, medium body, moderate tannin, and an attractive texture. While it will not make old bones, for drinking over the next 10-15 years, it is a pleasant effort.

Aromas of earth, blackberry and spices follow through to a full-bodied palate, with ripe tannins and a decadently fruity finish. Serious wine. Best after 2008. 12,500 cases made. -JS
