From the very cool Coombsville area in southern Napa Valley, the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Farella Vineyard is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Lots of burning ember, crushed rock and white chocolate notes as well as sweet black and red currant are present in this backward, tannic, and structured wine. The minerality is obvious, as are the tannins, so 4-5 years of bottle-age seems imperative. This wine could last for 20-25 years.
