Made from the region’s indigenous varietal, Mando, and aged in French oak for 12 months, this distinctive 2001 exhibits a deep ruby/purple color along with a big nose of damp earth, charcuterie, new saddle leather, and berry fruit. Meaty and robust, with abundant fruit as well as serious structure, it should be consumed over the next 7-8 years.
