Aged in demi-muids and foudres, the 2017 Crozes Hermitage les Hirondelles delivers hints of menthol and cedar on the nose, followed by slightly sappy notes of taut raspberries. It's medium to full-bodied on the palate, then finishes with chewy tannins that may not ever completely resolve. Time will tell, but I'd suggest drinking it on the young side, while the fruit is still present.
