Like some of the other entry-level wines from Beni di Batasiolo, the 2017 Barbera d'Alba tastes watery and light, with moderate intensity and a good amount of fresh fruit definition but with little depth beyond that. You get basic cherry flavors with some sweet peach and dark plum. A simple wine like this would pair with your favorite take-home pizza. Some 8,300 12-bottles cases were produced.
