This modern winery is turning out stunning values. The medium-bodied 1996 Ramitello Rosso (made from both Aglianico and Prugnolo, a clone of Sangiovese) reveals aromas/flavors of cedar, smoked almonds, chocolate, and cherries, a touch of fennel/anise, and a fine finish.
