The 2000 Chardonnay Estate is a lemon custard, honeyed, tropical fruit and mineral-laden wine. It is unevolved and young, and was tight and rigid when tasted. This wine may merit a higher score with a few more months of bottle age. It should last for 3-4 years. The immensely talented Greg Brewer is the force behind this impressive, limited production wine from this Santa Rita Hills winery (one of Santa Ynez's coolest micro-climates).
