Ruffino’s wines have been slowly changing over recent years towards a less traditional style which emphasizes more fruit and freshness. This is felt immediately in the 2001 Modus, a Sangiovese-Cabernet blend which skillfully combines the Tuscan and the international with its notes of red and blackberry fruit, light herbs and spice, full body, and supple tannins.
