The 2007 Varej is even better. This intriguing red caresses the palate with silky-textured fruit intermingled with typical Brachetto notes of wild herbs, mulling spices and flowers. It is an absolutely pristine, beautiful wine. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2011. I can’t say enough good things about the wines of Hilberg-Pasquero, a small estate located in the Roero.
