The 2007 Chianti Riserva is a pretty wine laced with crushed flowers, red cherries, cough syrup and sweet herbs. This is a distinctly medium-bodied style for the vintage, but the wine has good inner perfume. The finish turns a bit fleeting, exposing elements of greenness that detract from the wine’s overall balance. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2015.
