Very deep garnet-purple in color, the 2009 Hickinbotham Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon reveals an earthy / tarry nose with underlying notes of warm blueberries, blackberry preserves, walnut cake and mocha. Rich, full bodied and opulently fruited in the mouth, it has just enough acidity (medium-high) to lend lift and a firm level of chewy tannins, finishing long and savory. Approachable now, it should drink best 2013-2022+. Importer: Wine Brokers Unlimited, Hayward, CA
