The 2015 Chassagne-Montrachet Enceignieres, from vines close to Batard-Montrachet, has a reserved, stony, Puligny-like bouquet that opens nicely in the glass, just a hint of blackberry leaf developing after 3-4 minutes. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, very taut and linear with a dash of spice towards the finish. It perhaps just lacks a little charm at the moment, but hopefully that will develop with time in bottle.
