The most Burgundian of the Pinots, the 2011 Pinot Noir Pommard Clone has an earthy, underbrush-slanted core to go with sweet berry fruits, rose petal and hints of minerality. A medium-bodied, structured effort that has outstanding definition and purity, it, too, will be better in another handful of years and have a decade of longevity. Drink 2015-2021.
These solid efforts are made by Blair Fox (of Blair Fox wines) and represent high quality at solid prices.
