Produced from a parcel in the upper part of its vineyard (known as “dessus”), which borders Clos des Perrieres, the 2003 Meursault Charmes (white) reveals a nose of toasted yellow plums, minerals, and smoke. Loaded with spices, this fleshy, extroverted, medium-bodied wine displays flavors of buttered toast, stones, sap, and syrupy pears. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.
