Readers fortunate (and wealthy!) enough to have acquired bottles of Domaine Jacques Prieur's 1995 Montrachet will be delighted to learn that it fulfills its extraordinary promise. Tasted recently, its allspice-dominated aromatics lead to a dense, full-bodied mouthful of dried honey, hints of caramel, liquid minerals, and creamed anise. This huge, thick, and massively concentrated wine is eminently drinkable, yet should easily hold for 6 or more years.
