The 2010 Barbera d'Alba caresses the palate with juicy dark berries, flowers and spices, all in a supple style best suited for drinking over the next few years. The softer, more generous side of the vintage comes through nicely in this mid-weight offering. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2016.
Time waits for no one. I remember when Bruno Rocca's children were kids, now they are all grown up and actively involved in the family business, which is great to see. Luisa looks after the commercial side of the winery, while Francesco seems to have inherited his father's passion for the vineyard.
