The lovely 2013 Barbera d'Alba shows pretty fruit intensity with bold layers of ripe cherry and chewy blackberry. It opens to thick, dark concentration with blackish and purplish hues that run through the wine's thick texture. The aromatic component is similarly opulent with spice and tobacco at the back. Bright acidity gives the wine a lively and crisp finish.
