A mind-blowing Crozes Hermitage (it’s priced as such as well), the 2012 Crozes Hermitage Au Fil du Temps has awesome notes of black raspberry, toasted spice, licorice, ground pepper and distinct minerality on the nose. Easily one of the top wines from this large, varied appellation, this full-bodied, concentrated and thrillingly textured 2012 has moderate acidity, building tannin and blockbuster length. I’d drink it over the coming 6-7 years, but I’m sure it will evolve for longer.
